Edmonds Workshop to Explore Social Media for Entrepreneurs

If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, are about to start a new business or have already started one, a new discussion forum in Edmonds called 425 Launch could be for you.
The event, for entrepreneurs and those who want to start their own businesses, is Thursday at 5:30 p.m. in the Bracket Room of City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N.
The meeting will focus on the use of social media to launch a business and develop and sustain a client base. “Social media” is a household term these days and often seen as the pathway to enhancing a business.

Among the topics to be discussed include: Is social media the magic bullet for business? Are there different ways to handle social media? Are you doing social media the right way?
The guest presenter is Edmonds resident Karen Rosenzweig, a social media consultant and owner of One Smart Cookie Marketing. She has helped dozens of restaurants, food companies and entrepreneurs increase their customer base and gain visibility through Twitter, Facebook, blogging and other social media tools.

Future discussions will take place with other entrepreneurs from Edmonds and will also include subjects of interest for entrepreneurs, including navigating business licensing issues, funding possibilities, cash flow, technology marketing and other issues determined by the group.
