Swinging Good Time: Annual Edmonds Jazz Connection Is This Saturday

The free event will be held at three venues and is sponsored by the Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers.

The annual Edmonds Jazz Festival, presented by the Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers, is this Saturday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.

The festival brings together youth and students, renowned professional musicians, the arts community, music educators and the citizens of the Edmonds and the greater Seattle area who love great music and jazz, a uniquely American art form.

This event benefits student musicians and net proceeds from the event support youth-oriented charitable programs provided by the Rotary Club of Edmonds Daybreakers, a nonprofiit corporation that include music scholarships for college bound students.

Twenty-two student jazz groups will be peforming all day at three locations:

  • Big bands at , 515 Dayton St. Open jam session from 5 to 8 p.m.
  • Vocal jazz at , 201 Fourth Ave. N.
  • Jazz combos at , 415 Main St.
