Lightning Cancels Cannonball/Bellyflop Contest; Rescheduled for July 27

The annual in Edmonds has been canceled after a lightning strike.

The contest was to be held Friday at 6 p.m.

It is tentatively rescheduled two weeks from now, on July 27.

According to Patch contributor Larry Vogel, a strike at the pool has caused some damage.

An electrician was called and advised Yost Pool staff to cancel the event.
