Boater Who Died Off Shilshole Identified as Edmonds Man

Donald Hatch, 76, worked at Boeing for 35 years.

A 76-year-old Edmonds man has been identified as the victim of a fatal accident after his 16-foot boat collided with a 44-foot yacht near Seattle's Shilshole Bay.

The Seattle Times reports that the man is Donald Hatch.

The Coast Guard confirmed the identity of the man, who had been on the boat on Friday with Mountlake Terrace resident John Johnson, who was injured.

Hatch was retired and had worked at Boeing for 35 years, the Times reports.
