Meet Our New Bloggers

Welcome to our new Patch bloggers! We're still looking for more to join the site.

Two weeks ago, Edmonds Patch launched our new Local Voices section. Every day, we've been posting blog items from Edmonds citizens writing about a variety of local topics.

The number of bloggers on the site continues to grow. I'd like to introduce the newest ones to you, and re-acquaint you with the others as well:

: Thomas has been teaching for 27 years. He currently has a third grade classroom in the Edmonds School District. Thomas plans to share his lessons and how his students learn in his blog.

- Amy Wales: Amy moved to Edmonds not long ago to live with her fiancee. She plans to write about Edmonds through the eyes of a newcomer.

- Bryan writes "The Machinists News," a blog about news and information of use to members of the International Association of Machinists and Aerospace Workers District Lodge 751. Given the high number of Boeing employees residing in Edmonds, I thought Bryan's voice would be a great fit for the site.

Beth recently moved to Edmonds, where she now lives and operates E. Miakinin Associates, her executive and leadership training business. Beth's blog, "Lenses on Leadership," will tackle business and leadership topics.

Ryan plans to cover local, state, and national education issues in his blog. When not writing, he teaches English and social studies at Mountlake Terrace High School, and is also a building representative for the Edmonds Education Association.

A longtime Edmonds resident, Kim will write about a variety of lifestyle topics. She is a freelance graphic designer, illustrator, and flower photographer.

Megan plans to dish about everything fashion and beauty. She works at Ombu Salon+Spa in Edmonds, and will pass on news and trends from the style world.

DJ will have the inside scoop on local schools. She's the community relations manager for the Edmonds School District and mom to an elementary school student.

Thanks to the roster above, Edmonds Patch now has a great mix of local bloggers up and running. Even so, I'm always on the look out for more local voices. Have an area you'd like to blog about? Feel free to email me at Heidi.Dietrich@Patch.com. I'd love to hear from you!
