Welcome to Edmonds: Milltown Lounge and Otherworlds

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce has two ribbon cuttings.

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce officially welcomed two new businesses in Edmonds on Wednesday with ribbon cuttings.

Milltown Lounge, which opened in January, and , which opened this summer, are both located in the Old Milltown building on Fifth Avenue South.

Milltown Lounge is owned by Tim Kovach, who opened up the business formerly occupied by Michael Young's .

Milltown Lounge is open 4-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday and 4-midnight Friday and Saturday. It is closed Sunday. Soups, salads, sandwiches and small plates are available; happy hour is daily from 4-6 p.m.

Otherworlds, which sells sells books, games, and accessories, is open 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. daily. Owners Brynn Watson and Ahren Paulson use the word "steampunk" to describe their store. It's a term to collectively describe visions of a technological future forged prior to the internal combustion engine.

This Saturday, Otherworlds is sponsoring a ghost-story event with Mary Ann Moorman and Ken Hammer of the Seattle Storyteller's Guild.
