Walmart Hiring 90 Employees for Neighborhood Market in Lynnwood

The average wage for regular, full-time hourly employees in Washington is $12.93 per hour.

Walmart has started the hiring process for its new Neighborhood Market in Lynnwood. The store will employ approximately 90 associates.

Scheduled to open in late October, will be the second Neighborhood Market in Washington state. Unlike tradition Walmart stores, Neighborhood Markets sell only items found in grocery stores.

A temporary hiring center for interviews and hiring is at 17925 Highway 99, north of 180th Street SW in Lynnwood. It is open Monday through Friday. Interested applicants should first apply online or at the in-store kiosks within existing Walmart stores.

Curtis Vittozzi has been named store manager for the new Lynnwood Neighborhood Market. He will direct operations, performance and customer experience. 

“We’re very proud to offer our wide variety of fresh produce and local products to our Lynnwood customers,” said Vittozzi. “This new, small-store format is a convenient option for our customers to access our broad assortment of affordable, fresh and healthy food choices all at our Every Day Low Prices.”

Seeking to hire for both full- and part-time positions, Vittozzi said that associates are needed to work in all areas of the new store, including supervisory roles.  Once hired, Walmart Neighborhood Market employees will begin preparing for the store’s grand opening.

Walmart medical plans are available for as little as $15 bi-weekly and the company insures more than 1 million people in the U.S. Walmart provides eligible associates a corporate match up to 6 percent into the 401(k) program.

In addition, eligible associates receive a quarterly incentive based on the company’s performance, store discount cards, stock purchase programs and life insurance.
