Third Thursday Art Walk Combined With First Dibs Business Event Tonight

The streets of Edmonds will be lighted and filled with holiday decorations for the monthly event.

There might be a little more activity than usual today during the Edmonds Third Thursday Art Walk from 5 to 8 p.m.

In addition to numerous art showings at various shops downtown, tonight marks the second time that the has coincided with the . First Dibs is sponsored by the Downtown Edmonds Merchants Association. Many stores will be open late tonight and throughout the weekend with treats and special offers. Buildings will be lighted and storefronts decorated.

Tonight’s Art Walk entertainment will be provided by Edmonds Community College jazz students at ArtsNow Gallery; guitarist Chris Brombach's at Edmonds Frame Design; singer-songwriter Dan Voetmann at Saetia; Ron Dalton at Wells Fargo Advisors. In addition, there will be live music at The Loft at 8 p.m.

Here is a list of the exhibits:

  • Aria Studio Gallery: Watercolor demos at 6:30 and 7:30; new paintings by Joan Archer, and inspiring photography by Leah Goodwin.
  • Arista Wine Cellars: Holiday wine tasting extravaganza.
  • ArtsNow Gallery-Edmonds Conference Center: Fiber artists explore Deep Spaces.
  • Autumn's Framing and Gallery: Peggy Goldsmith's landscapes and florals.
  • Bluefish Designs: Susan Rothschilds' mixed media art.
  • C'est La Vie: Diane Culhane, Liz Gamberg, Amy Pleasant and Ashley Hoskins will present hand painted Tom's shoes. Your purchase helps others in need.   
  • Cline Jewelers: Minimalist paintings by Frank Weiditz.
  • Coldwell Banker Bain: Jean Donnard's impressionist Still Lifes, Portraiture and Landscapes.
  • Cole Gallery: Cafe Noir - A feature show by Dianna Shyne.
  • Daphnes: Edmund Nonaca's photographs of Inyo, Yosemite, & Cascades: Celebrating the Colors of Fall.
  • Dethlefs Sparwasser Reich Dickerson & Key: Darlene Gentry finds science as her muse for imaginative themes of dimensions, particles, and stars.
  • Edmonds Bookshop: 12-year-old Georgia Neill, a lifelong artist, will be exhibiting various works from her collection.
  • Edmonds Family Dentistry: Mixed media abstracts by Saskia Gregory.
  • Edmonds Frame Design & Atelier: "A Slice of Life," oil paintings by Lynne Guy.
  • Edmonds Historical Museum: Impressionist pastels by Susan Dawson.
  • Edmonds Library: Mixed media works by Anita West.
  • Edmonds Vision Center: Kiln-fused glass jewelry by Dolors Ruscha.
  • Edward Jones: Art photography by Laurie Zak, mosaic ornaments by Karen Healey.
