Swedish/Edmonds Chief Executive Joins Operation Military Family Board

David Jaffe is also a board member of the Snohomish County Economic Alliance and the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Edmonds-based Operation Military Family has announced announced that David Jaffe, chief executive of Swedish/Edmonds, has joined the organization's executive board of directors. 

“David Jaffe is a passionate supporter of our military families and we are thrilled to have him join the OMF team,” says OMF founder and CEO Mike Schindler. “His impressive medical expertise and powerful community ties empower OMF’s mission to strengthen and support our military families by better connecting them to the services they need and deserve.”

As a nationally recognized leader in the medical community, Jaffe recognizes the huge sacrifice made by military personnel and their families and wants to do whatever he can to help.

“They’re there for us and we need to be there for them and their families,” says Jaffe. “Joining the OMF board is an excellent way for me to be able to directly support this mission.”

Prior to his role at Swedish/Edmonds, Jaffe spent 16 years as executive director and CEO of Harborview Medical Center in Seattle. He is an emeritus board member of the Trauma Center Association of America (TCAA) and a retired clinical associate professor at the University of Washington’s graduate school of public health and community medicine.

He is also a current board member of the Snohomish County Economic Alliance and the Edmonds Center for the Arts.

Operation Military Family was founded in 2007 in Edmonds by Navy veteran Michael Schindler, who wrote the book Operation Military Family to help service members with their relationships before deployment.
