Sunrise of Edmonds Celebrating 30th Anniversary With Tree Lighting

Ceremony, which will feature holiday treats, hot cocoa and carols, begins at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

Sunrise of Edmonds, a Sunrise Senior Living community, will host a tree lighting ceremony to honor Sunrise’s 30th anniversary on Wednesday at 5:30 p.m. 

Friends and family are invited to join in for holiday treats, hot cocoa and carols.  

“Our team members, residents and their families are excited to celebrate Sunrise’s 30th anniversary with a special event,” said Linda Potter, executive director of Sunrise of Edmonds. “For 30 years, Sunrise has been committed to providing care for residents with dignity and respect as well as preserving their freedom of choice.”

Sunrise was founded in 1981, when Paul and Terry Klaassen converted an old nursing home in Oakton, VA, where they developed the resident-centered philosophy for senior care. The company has expanded to more than 300 senior living communities across the United States, Canada and the United Kingdom.
