Subway Opens Today in the Westgate Village Shopping Center

The restaurant is owned by Edmonds residents Matthew and Lisa Hollek, who have five other franchises in Puget Sound.

One day after the store in the QFC Shopping Center, Edmonds’ Westgate neighborhood welcomed another tenent: Subway.

The new Subway is owned by Edmonds residents Matthew and Lisa Hollek, who own five other franchises: three in Everett, one in Lynnwood (by Alderwood Mall) and one in Ballard.

“I’ve been looking forward to opening a business in my hometown for many years,” said Matthew Hollek, who has lived in Edmonds for 15 years. “I’m excited about being able to offer offer service to my friends and neighbors.”

The new Subway, located in the site of the former Sub Shop, is the second in Edmonds. is at 23805 Highway 99, near 238th Street SW.

A Subway shop in the complex formally anchored by Girasol's, also in Westgate, closed a few years ago.
