Semantics Gallery to Expand With Move Into Former Running in Motion

Semantics owner Larry Jeffers says the expansion will take a couple of months.

plans to expand its presence in Edmonds by adding a new location at 401 Main Street.

The location, on the northeast corner of Main and Fourth, is the former location of Running in Motion, which owner after winning a seat on the Edmonds City Council in November.

Semantics Gallery's current location is just a few doors north, at 110 Fourth Avenue North. It sits inside a remodeled doctor's office built in 1939.

Semantics Gallery, which features original works of sculpture, glass, pottery, wood, basketry and paintings, is owned by Larry Jeffers. Jeffers ran an art gallery in Seattle's Pioneer Square for many years before opening his Edmonds location in the mid-2000s.

Jeffers says he plans to expand his business in a couple of months.

The expansion would mean the new location, as with the current one, would be part of the city of Edmonds' long-term plan to provide a .
