Rusty Pelican Cafe Opens Friday; Will Serve Breakfast and Lunch

The restaurant is in the former location of Il Buffone and Olives Cafe and Bar on Fifth Avenue North by the fountain.

Downtown Edmonds' newest restaurant, the , will open on Friday.

The restaurant is at 107 Fifth Ave. N, the , which formerly housed Olives Cafe and Wine Bar. Both were owned by chef Michael Young.

The Rusty Pelican is owned and operated by Peter and Marilyn Limberopoulos, who have another location in Wallingford. They also own Gyro Delight in Lynnwood.

The Rusty Pelican Cafe, according to its Web Site, specializes in American cuisine, classic home-style dishes and dessert.

Unlike the Wallingford location, which serves breakfast, lunch and dinner, the Edmonds Rusty Pelican Cafe will only serve breakfast and lunch.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. seven days a week.
