PUD Names New Chief Information Officer

Benjamin Beberness will lead the information technology department.

After an extensive search, Snohomish County Public Utility District No. 1 has named Benjamin Beberness its new chief information officer. Beberness will direct the PUD’s information technology area.

His begins his duties on Monday.

Beberness has more than 20 years of information technology experience, most recently as director of delivery services for PacifiCorp in Portland, OR. He has extensive experience managing a broad range of technology issues, including nine years in large-scale management roles. His background also includes work for the Deloitte and Touche Consulting Group and Williams Gas Pipeline in Houston.

“We’re very fortunate to bring Benjamin to the PUD to lead our IT team,” said General Manager Steve Klein. “His strong background in information technology systems and demonstrated success in directing large scale efforts will prove valuable as our utility continues to face rapid change that demands sophisticated technology systems.”

Beberness holds a bachelor’s of science degree in computer science from Portland State University.
