Microsoft Leaving Hotmail Brand Behind

The company today rolled out Outlook.com as its new e-mail service. Will you give it a try?

So long Hotmail, hello Outlook.com.

After 15 years under ownership, the world's largest e-mail service will be revamped into Outlook.com, GeekWire reports. The change, according to the local tech industry blog, is intended to streamline Microsoft's branding and combat Google's rising share of the email market.

GeekWire reports Hotmail users will be able to keep their @hotmail.com address if they so choose.
