Petosa's Will Reopen Saturday at 7 a.m.

The downtown Edmonds grocery store has been closed since April 7 after a fire sprinkler malfunctioned.

on Fifth Avenue South in downtown Edmonds will reopen Saturday at 7 a.m. after a faulty fire sprinkler flooded the business on April 7.

Petosa's has been closed since then, but the auto licensing center inside has remained open.

Betty Jo Petosa, who has owned the business in Edmonds since 1986, told the Herald that the closure is only the second since that time.

"I just hope and pray our customers haven't found another grocer," she told the Herald. "I hope they will welcome us back."
