All the Best Pet Care, a King County-based company that bills itself as an alternative to mass-marketed pet projects, will open its first location in Snohomish County this month. Construction is almost complete at the new site on Edmonds Way in Edmonds’ Westgate neighborhood.
The store’s location, next door to holistically inclined PCC Natural Markets, seems an ideal fit. Among the items All the Best sells are socially conscious sweaters as well as the Thundershirt, billed as “a new canine anxiety cure.”
All the Best, founded in 1985 by Susan and Ira Moss, currently has eight locations in Seattle and the Eastside, including Lake City, Madison, Queen Anne, Ballard, Mercer Island, Bellevue, Redmond and Issaquah. Two other locations, in West Seattle and on Aurora Avenue, have closed.
All the Best carries raw, canned and dry pet food. Among the many dog-food brands are Canidaek, Honest Kitchen, ZiwiPeak, Tiki Dog, Taste of the Wild and Natural Balance. Cat-food brands include Castor & Pollux, Natura, Old Mother Hubbard, Precise, Tiki Cat and Wild Kitty.
The store also offers a wide variety of enzyme supplements, which it says helps with itchiness, allergies, flea infestation, weepy eyes and ears, dry skin, rashes, hair loss and hot spots.
All the Best also has anesthesia-free teeth cleaning for dogs and cats by Scott Blanchard, who holds pets in his lap during the 20-minute process. The fee is $155, and the first session in Edmonds is March 23 from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.
All the Best Pet Care is located at 9803 Edmonds Way, Suite B, Edmonds. For more information, call 425-697-3909.
