Olympic View Debuts New Building
An open house and barbecue will be held on July 15 at 8128 228th St. SW. Meetings held the first and third Monday of the month are open to the public.
Paying bills is never an experience to remember.
But Lynda Lowell, administration service manager for Olympic View Water and Sewage District’s , says she has noticed a few more smiles since moving from an old, cramped space nearby on Edmonds Way.
“They’re not happy to be giving us money,” Lowell said, “but many do smile and say how nice the building looks.”

Olympic View, which operates in portions of Edmonds, Woodway and unincorporated Snohomish County, recently moved into a brand-new administration and operations building at 8128 228th St. SW in the Esperance area.
The 10,000-square-foot, two-story building, designed by Kirkland-based Page & Beard Architecture and Design, is a high-efficiency project on a hilltop that includes passive solar windows that capture and store the sun’s energy.

Olympic View’s former administrative office, at 23725 Edmonds Way, has been torn down, said Olympic View general manager Lynne Danielson, who recently stepped into the position after the retirement of Roger Eberhart. Olympic View continues to operate a maintenance facility at the Edmonds Way site.
The new building is set back from the street, and only small trucks and vans will be housed there. Larger trucks will remain on the old site, which will continue to act as a distribution center and store items such as hydrants and meters, as well as a pumping station.
The Olympic View Water and Sewage District provides water to more than 14,000 people and 4,900 homes. Its service area is west of Highway 99 and 76th Avenue West, and south of 220th Street to the King County line.
Olympic View also provides sewage services to 3,800 customers. It is treated and processed at the Edmonds Wastewater Treatment Plant on Dayton Street and released into Puget Sound. Olympic View’s commissioners are Patricia Meeker, John Elsasser and Lora Petso.
Olympic View administrators meet on the first and third Monday of each month at 5:30 p.m. Meeting are open to the public.
The majority of residents of incorporated Edmonds receive water and sewage service from the City of Edmonds.
