New at A Taste of Edmonds 2012: Free Admission Until 3 p.m. First Day

UPDATE: Although the A Taste of Edmonds Web site says admission is free until 3 p.m. daily on all three days, Craig Cooke of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce reports that admission will only be free until 3 p.m. on the first day, Aug. 10.

As if you needed another reason to visit A Taste of Edmonds.

The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce has announced that this year's event, Aug. 10-12, will have free admission until 3 p.m. on Aug. 10.

The promotion is tied into A Taste of Edmonds' 30th anniversary. The Taste is the  biggest single event in Edmonds, based on attendance, and the main fundraiser for the chamber.

In conjunction with that, the chamber wants to hear from those who were born on Aug. 10, 1982, when the Taste held its opening day.

The chamber has also announced that the Van Halen tribute group The Atomic Punks will make its debut at the popular beer garden.
