Is Dick's Drive-In Worth the Hype?

Edmonds location has now been open a month.

has been an institution for more than 50 years in King County. The chain's first store in Snohomish County, in Edmonds, has been open for a month now. If the long lines are any indication, Dick's is well on its way to being an institution in SnoCo as well.

But what is it about Dick's that keeps people coming back? Is it the memories? The cheap grub? Handmade shakes?

Or is it the burgers?

In an age of $10 gourmet burgers, the top price at Dick's is $2.70 for a Deluxe with two patties. The hamburger is $1.25, for goodness' sake.
