Your Guide to Halloween in Edmonds

Haunted houses at museum and on Dayton Street; Halloween with your dog; a flash mob; pumpkin ale at American Brewing Company.

The weather will probably be gloomy tonight, but when isn't it for Halloween in Edmonds?

Here's a guide to what's happening in Edmonds today:

Haunted House: The Edmonds Historical Museum's annual Haunted House is from 4 to 7 p.m. at the museum, 118 Fifth Ave. N. The "friendly" event has a $1 donation at the door, and there will be fortune cookies for the kids.

Downtown: The Edmonds Chamber of Commerce welcomes trick-or-treaters and their families again this year. Edmonds businesses will be passing out candy to more than 3,000 costumed kids from 5 to 7 p.m. Parents and pooches are welcome to attend and even take part in the costume contest for all ages. There are many fun activities planned. Some are being kept under veil of secrecy in the true spirit of Halloween!

"Thriller" flash mob: This is your chance to see a flash mob in action as Michael Jackson's "Thriller" will be performed at 5 p.m. Wednesday near the fountain at Fifth Avenue and Main Street in Edmonds. The dance can also be learned on special YouTube video.

Haunted House: Billed as the hairiest and scariest haunted house in Edmonds. Features Children of the Corn maze, the Hall of Terror, the Graveyard of Lacrosse Past, the Psycho Ward and The Clowns. 5-10 p.m. at 515 Dayton St. Lights on for younger children the first hour. Admission is $5. All money raised supports local youth and professional lacrosse teams, the Edmonds Eagles and Washington Stealth.

Dmarie's Doggie Boutique: Spend Halloween with your doggie companion. Dog-O-Ween treats given out to all dogs who stop by between 5 and 8 p.m. Spooky Playroom open for all gogs from 5 to 6: 30 p.m. Spooky playtime for small dogs under 20 pounds from 6:30 to 8 p.m. 9639 Firdale Ave.

Halloween Spooktacular: Pumpkin ale one night only! American Brewing Company at Harbor Square will have its first Halloween party, from 6-8 p.m. "Wednesday is the day you get to display your alter ego; don your super hero tights, put on a wig, wear extravagant makeup," they say. Anyone wearing a costume will be given a raffle ticket and the chance to win some fun ABC swag. 180 W. Dayton St., #102.

Halloween Boo & Brew: Begins at 6 p.m. at Gallaghers' Where-U-Brew, 180 W. Dayton St. All (over 21) are invited to join in the potluck spooktacular party. There will be a 16 percent discount to those who brew after 6 in costume, anda $100 gift certificate prize for the best costume.
