Edmonds Theater Going Digital April 13

Production of 35mm film is expected to end next year.

The venerable , in the heart of downtown, has announced that beginning April 13 all films will be presented through digital projection.

The theater is replacing its 35mm projector with a digital one as the production of 35mm film is expected to end sometime in 2013.

The theater, which made the announcement on its Facebook page, says patrons should "look for exciting specials to come as we celebrate the end of an era, and look to the beginning of something magical!"
