Edmonds' Resident Cheesemonger to Get New Name, Move to Old Milltown

Strom Peterson says his new venture, The Cheesemonger's Table, will have dining in and take-out options, as well as happy hour.

, a staple at 405 Main St. in Edmonds, will be moving to a new location. And getting a new name.

Owner Strom Peterson writes on his Facebook page that his store will be re-christened The Cheesemonger's Table and be located at Old Milltown, which is on Fifth Avenue South between Dayton and Maple streets.

Peterson said his new shop will open in July.

"You will still find the same great cheeses, meats, and fine food (and service), but there will be much more," said Peterson, who is a member of the Edmonds City Council. "We will feature classic and innovative sandwiches, cheese and charcuterie plates and fresh salads accompanied by a few of your favorite wines, beers and other local beverages."

There will be dining in and take-out service, as well as happy hour.

"And stay tuned to be able to vote on your favorite sandwich and help us build a great menu," Peterson said. "All voting will take place of Facebook, so make sure you and your friends 'like' Resident Cheesemonger."
