New Edmonds Restaurant Bar Dojo Receives Thumbs-Up Review

A Seattle Times restaurant reviewer approved of the Five Corners spot's 'imaginative' ocktails and 'ambitious but approachable' menu.

 

One of Edmond’s newest restaurants -- Bar Dojo on Bowdoin Avenue -- just received a positive review in the Seattle Times, earning a rating of 2.5 out of four stars.

Bar Dojo , offering a variety of Asian comfort foods and specialty cocktails. It is operated by Executive Chef Shubert Ho, who also owns Shooby Doo Catering, and Andrew Leckie, an Edmonds native and related by marriage.

Times reviewer Providence Cicero liked its “imaginative cocktails and wrote that Cheg Hp’s “pan-Asian menu offers the flexibility of shared plates, noodle bowls and more formal entrees. It’s ambitious but approachable, and the execution is solid.”

Ther reviwer noted that Bar Dojo is not perfect, and pointed out why she felt so, but concluded: "Bar Dojo could well become an indispensable fixture in the neighborhood."
