Edmonds July 4: Sign Up for 5K Run/Walk; Marching Bands Wanted

Independence Day is a week from next Wednesday.

Ready to participate in An Edmonds Kind of 4th?

The sixth annaul Fourth of July fun run is a 5k run, jog or walk through the heart of  downtown Edmonds, sponsored by Chase Bank. It annually attracts more than 1,000 participants.

It starts July 4—natch—at City Park, Third Avenue South and Walnut Street. Registration begins at 8:30 a.m., and the race at 10.

Pre-registration by this Monday, June 25, is preferred.

The cost is $25 per participant. All proceeds benefit An Edmonds Kind of 4th."

Register online by going to the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce Web site or pick up a form at the chamber office or at in downtown Edmonds.

An Edmonds Kind of 4th will also include a children’s and main parade and a evening concert and fireworks at the Edmonds Civic Playfield.

Marching Bands wanted
