Edmonds Entrepreneurs: First 425 Launch Is Jan. 25 With Mike Meeks

425 Launch, a project of the Edmonds Chamber of Commerce's Economic Development Committee, will have its first meeting of 2012 on Jan. 25 from 5:30-7:30 p.m.

"425 Launch is basically a group of entrepreneurs discussing, with themselves, what works, what doesn't work and what things they might need," chamber in December 2010.

"If you have an entrepreneurial spirit, are about to start a new business or have already started one, this free discussion forum is just the place for you."

The event will be held in the Bracket Room at Edmonds City Hall, 121 Fifth Ave. N.

The guest will be local accountant Mike Meeks. A principal of the Edmonds-based Dewar Meeks + Ekrem PC, Meeks specializes in tax planning and consulting for small businesses with the goal of developing a balance between the business and individual for income and estate tax minimization. He has extensive training and experience in all areas of taxation, and his talk will cover a broad range of topics based on the interests of those in attendance.

425 Launch forums are held bi-monthly; no reservations are required.
