The price of admission may have something to do with Edgar's no-show. Tickets to the event were $20 in advance and $25 at the door. The price included one specialty drink. Bottles had to be purchased on site before Martinez would sign them. He would not sign any baseball memorabilia.

The event was also to benefit Camp Korey, a Skagit County-based organization that serves children with serious and life-threatening medical conditions and their families at no cost.
