Construction of Kruger Orthopedic Clinic's New Site Will Begin Next Month

After 30 years on Highway 99, Kruger now building a 27,000 square-foot, three-story building a few blocks away on 72nd Avenue West.

, located on Highway 99 in Edmonds, will soon begin construction on a new site a few blocks away at 21401 72nd Ave. W.

The new 27,000 square-foot, three-story orthopedic clinic and physical therapy facility will feature new diagnostic technology and be able to perform DXA X-rays, which are the most commonly used technology for measuring bone-mineral density.

Construction for the new building, expected to last a year, is scheduled to start on Dec. 15. Physicians and staff are expected to move into the new location in December 2012. Until that time, Kruger’s Highway 99 site will remain open.

The project’s developer is First Western Development Services, Inc. of Edmonds. The building architect is DDG Architects of Redmond, and the medical interiors architect is Architectural Werks of Kirkland. The structural engineer is CT Engineering of Seattle, while Pennon Construction of Seattle will be the general contractor.

Kruger Clinic Orthopaedics and its five specialty trained orthopaedic specialists have provided care to the Edmonds area since 1981.
