'Cash Mob' to Support Petosa's Family Grocer Is Thursday

The downtown supermarket was closed after water damage.

You've probably heard of a flash mob, an choreographed breaking out of song and dance in a public place.

On Thursday, Edmonds will see a "cash mob."

The event has been organized to help , which reopened on Saturday after flooded the business.

A cash mob is an event spread by Facebook, Twitter, the media and word of mouth. Participants arrive at a certain time in a location near the business with up to $20 in their pocket to spend. Of course, you can spend more than that.

Those interesed should meet in front of (409 Howell Way) and Edmonds Autobody (401 Howell Way) between 6 and 6:30 p.m. Participants will then walk to Petosa's, where the cash mob officially begins atΒ  6:30 p.m.

After the event, participants are welcome to gather at or and show their receipt from Petosa's to get happy-hour prices.Β
