AM Country Radio Station Debuts in Snohomish County
KXA-AM 1520, based in Everett, plays classic country hits.
A new classic-country music station is now on the air and providing hits from the '60s, '70s, '80s and '90s.
KKXA, known as KXA-AM 1520, is based in Everett.
According to The Herald, the first song played was "Simple Man" by Charlie Daniels. The Herald reported that KXA will carry Washington State football and basketball games, the Silvertips, Everett Aquasox and high school sports games.

KXA broadcasts at 20,000 watts daytime and 50,000 watts during pre-sunset/post-sunrise and overnight.
Its transmittor is in Snohomish.
