Baseball & Beer: Tacoma Rainiers' Brew Wednesday Spotlights Edmonds Suds

A taste of Edmonds comes to Cheney Stadium as American Brewing Company's Breakaway IPA and Caboose Oatmeal Stout to be featured.

Been to a Tacoma Rainiers baseball game lately?

Cheney Stadium will have an Edmonds flavor, literally, on Wednesday when 's Breakaway IPA and Caboose Oatmeal Stout will be the first beers to be featured in this year's Brew Wednesday.

Each Wednesday, a different Washington brewery will be featured on the Cheney Stadium mezzanine level.

"We are proud to have been chosen as the first brewery on the roster," says American Brewing on its Facebook page. "So come out and support a fantastic baseball team and enjoy some of the best craft beer around! Cheers!"

The Rainiers are the Seattle Mariners' Triple-A affiliate. This year's team has a number of prospects and major league veterans, including Carlos Peguero, Charlie Furbush, Shawn Kelley, Vinnie Catricala, Carlos Triunfel and Trayvon Robinson.
