Who Were Those Guys? Driftwood Players Hit Streets to Promote Open House

The open house in March 18. The theater company's next production is "Harvey."

If you were strolling through downtown Edmonds on Saturday, you may have spotted three volunteers from .

They volunteers raided the costume closet at the Driftwood Players' Annex at 200 Dayton St. and picked some, say we say, interesting things to wear.

Carissa (sparkle top hat), Kathleen (purple hat) and Roger (distinguished pith helmet) were strolling along, waiving to the crowds and shop owners and handing out invitations.Β

The downtown promotion was for the Driftwood Players' upcoming open house, which will be held March 18 from noon to 4 p.m. at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds.

Admission is free and so are the guided backstage tours. This is your chance to go behind the scenes, literally, as volunteers are now designing and building the set for for theater's next show, Harvey.

Harvey runs April 6-22. For tickets, go to the company's Web site.

In additon, tickets will be sold for face painting, onstage photos in costume, concession items, earrings by Haley or pins and poppers by Casey.
