Vroom! Edmonds Classic Car Show Set for Sept. 8

Expect between 300-400 beautiful classic vehicles radiating out from the fountain at 5th Avenue & Main Street.

Rev up your engines. The Edmonds Classic Car Show returns to the streets of Edmonds Sunday, Sept. 8. 

Expect between 300-400 beautiful classic vehicles radiating out from the fountain at 5th Avenue & Main Street starting at 10 a.m. Area stores and restaurants will be open and welcoming car owners and spectators.

The public is invited to this free event.

In conjunction with the show, there are several other free events happening; a Pancake Breakfast at North Sound Community Church (4th Ave North & Bell Street) from 9 am -1 pm & the Edmonds Theatre (Main St right by the fountain) will be screening cartoons from 10:30 am – 1 pm.  The Edmonds Historical Museum (5th Ave N by the fountain) will be featuring their exhibit “Cruisin’ the Washington Fossil Freeway” & their ever popular Train Room.

The Kids World at Dayton place will feature the Frog Zone and IGA Grocery Store Coloring contest.  A Pinewood Derby track will be setup for kids to bring their own pinewood derby cars to race. Pinewood Derby car kits will be available for kids FREE as long as supplies last. Kids can bring their favourite Hot Wheels car to race on the track too. Plenty of games and activities for all the kids.

Vendor Row will feature auto related products and some arts and crafts for some fun shopping.

Shane Cobane is back performing his Elvis Presley tribute and Billy Mac of Duelling Piano fame performs on the fountain stage from 2 to 4pm.

Throughout the day an information booth at the fountain will be staffed to answer questions and provide directions as well as host lost & found services.  Next to the booth will be custom-designed car show apparel for sale.

While the public enjoys the cars on display, the owners will await the decision of the judges to see who will win the coveted ‘Best of Show’ jacket as well as numerous other awards.  At 4:30 p.m. the award ceremony begins at the fountain.

After the ceremony is over prepare for the cacophony as the cars rev up and leave for home.
