Scholarship Winner to Have Art Displayed at Edmonds Arts Festival

You can also see her work beginning Monday at the Edmonds Arts Commission's display case at the Frances Anderson Center.

The art of Jaclynne Forsyth, a recipient of support from the Edmonds Arts Festival Foundation scholarship program, will be showcased in the organization's display at the Frances Anderson Center. You can see it beginning Monday and continuing through July 30.

Forsyth's work will also be prominent at the Edmonds Arts Festival, which is Father's Day weekend, June 15-17.

Forsyth received an associate of arts degree from Edmonds Community College and continued her education at Evangel University in Springfield, MO, graduating with a bachelor's in graphic design.

She was on the national dean’s list and honor roll while attending both of these schools. She is currently an art director and designer in Seattle.

“Graphic design has always been my passion because it holds a uniquely effective and direct means of communication with the viewers,” Forsyth says. "People everywhere, even those who may never walk into an art gallery, can appreciate a good, clear design. My goal is to someday be able to see my designs change the lives of other people.”

University–level visual arts scholarships are a major part of the mission of the EAF Foundation and are funded through the public's support of the Edmonds Arts Festival.

The EAC display case is located at the main entrance of the Frances Anderson Center, 700 Main St., Edmonds. Hours are 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. Mondays through Fridays and 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. Saturdays. Information: 425-771-0228.
