Local Comedy Show 'The (206)' Premieres Saturday

John Keister and Pat Cashman of "Almost Live" fame are back with a new sketch comedy that pokes fun at the Seattle area.

The wait is over. Fourteen years after the cancellation of "Almost Live," John Keister and Pat Cashman are back with a new comedy sketch show, "The (206)."

As Keister told Patch in a December interview, "The (206)" will mirror the format of "Almost Live" and will continue the tradition of poking fun at our region's various quirks and stereotypes—but with plenty of fresh material.

"You can look forward to a lot of comedy aimed at the 'new Seattle'—specifically the tunnel project, legal weed, and why there are so damn many bike trails everywhere," Keister said.

The show's first episode airs this weekend on KING 5 after Saturday Night Live.

The snowpocalypse weather report is still my favorite: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dM0Jynoflzo. But I just got a good chuckle out of the "Eastside Tourism Promo," too: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=idqtQxas14s Can't wait for tonight's premiere!

"Mind your Manners, with Billy Kwan" was one of my favorites. Don't forget Billy Nye's Speedwalker as well!

Parka Boy was always a hoot. I wonder how Ken Forman felt about it.
