Incoming: Driftwood Players Set the Stage for M*A*S*H

Black comedy about life at a mobile hospital during the Korean War begins Friday.

Hawkeye. Trapper John. Radar. Hot Lips. Frank Burns. Col. Blake.

All the gang's onboard for M*A*S*H, a black comedy set during the Korean War that the will present beginning Friday.

Made famous by the movie and the popular TV series, M*A*S*H centers on life in a Mobile Army Surgical Hospital unit located only three miles from the front lines. The primary mission of the MASH unit is to provide immediate medical treatment to Americans wounded in combat, and the young surgeons are often up to their elbows in blood and guts for long periods of time.

But when they're off duty, of course, the MASH unit personnel keep their sanity by pursuing a wacky, irreverent lifestyle that leads to some hilarious adventures.

M*A*S*H is directed by Jonathan Reis and features Tabitha Bastien, Meagan Castillo, John Chapman, Jeff Christensen, Greg Cochran, Jason Conner, Stephen Crago, Bruce Erickson, Tom Fraser, Garr Godfrey, BriAnne Green, Kelsey Jacobs, Rose Jepson, Annikki Kandoll, Vanessa Langston, Jonathan Locke, Will McKnight, Dennis Moore, Rob Perkins, Ashley Pickard, Jenny Price, Mike Rorvick, Don Taylor, Mary Kay Voss and Moses Yim

M*A*S*H opens Friday and continues through Feb. 26 at the Wade James Theatre, 950 Main St., Edmonds. Shows are Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays at 8 p.m. and Sundays at 2 p.m. An ASL interpreted performance is Feb. 12 at 2 p.m. Tickets are $23, $20 for seniors, military with ID and those 18 and under.
