Farcical ‘Thunderbolts and Dunderheads’ Opens Today at Phoenix Theatre

The show, directed by Jay Irwin, is the theater's first in 2012.

in Edmonds debuts its first show of 2012 tonight with Thunderbolts and Dunderheads, an award-winning farce that plays off ancient myths.

The play, by Todd McGinnis, was originally produced by Playing After Dark Ltd., opening on Oct. 17, 2001, for a two-week run at the Cyril Clark Theatre in Brampton, Ontario, Canada.

Iris, the Goddess-Of-Rainbows, goes to the "head office" on Mount Olympus looking for a promotion. Instead, she's threatened with being downsized. Her only hope of survival is to take on the one job no one else wants. So what's a poor goddess to do? Find out when this myth-sterically funny, award-winning farce comes to the Phoenix to breathe hilarious new life into the Ancient Myths.

Thunderbolts and Dunderheads in Edmonds is directed by Jay Irwin. It stars Ted Adams, Kayti Barnett, Scot Garrett, Zanne Gerrard, Renee Gilbert, Craig Matthews and Christian Ver.
