Overton Berry & Ensemble helps Raise the Roof

We are excited to welcome Overton Berry and his ensemble (Mike Eytcheson, bass; Rick Spano, drums; Kate Wirth, vocals) to the Wade James Theater. Overton has graciously offered to help us kick off our capital campaign the focus of which is putting a new roof on the theater. He will literally be Raising the Roof! Overton Berry is a Seattle music legend. Recently inducted into the Seattle Jazz Hall of Fame, he has been making music here and worldwide for over 50 years. As a young man, he was Music Director for the House of Entertainment at Seattle’s 1962 World’s Fair, where he worked with many artists including the great Peggy Lee. Overton toured with a number of groups and performed in Hong Kong for much of the 1990s. His trio continues to perform at various venues throughout the Seattle area. This concert will be his first in Edmonds, and is sure to be memorable. Join us, and the legions of Overton Berry fans, for an entertaining evening of jazz at the Wade James Theater, 950 Main St, Edmonds on October 6, 2012. Overton’s piano will be supplied by Ira Langlois (Langlois Pianos), maker of custom hand-built pianos. VIP Tickets (includes Champagne reception with Overton and Ensemble on stage after the show) $50, limited quantity available, first come, first served General Admission. $25 per person
