MALAMA KO ALOHA: KEEP YOUR LOVE WITH KEOLA BEAMER, R. CARLOS NAKAI, GEOFFREY KEEZER, AND MOANALANI BEAMER

This special performance brings the PBS special – “Keola Beamer: Mālama Ko Aloha”, which means “Keep Your Love”, to the ECA stage. This performance stars slack key master Keola Beamer, Native American flutist R. Carlos Nakai, jazz pianist Geoffrey Keezer, and hula master Moanalani Beamer. Celebrate aloha with beautiful songs from a mix of traditions as the performers share cultures with each other and the audience. The show includes stories from Hawaiian history and legend, with projections of Hawaiian sites of amazing power and beauty.

Nellie McKay’s talents on piano, mallets, and ukulele, joined with Turtle Island’s innovative rhythmic techniques will make an extraordinary performance. Menopause the Musical is back!! This hilarious show includes parodies from the ’60s and ’70s and ’80s, and culminates with a salute to women who are experiencing The Change. The all-female cast makes fun of their woeful hot flashes, forgetfulness, mood swings, wrinkles, night sweats and chocolate binges. This joyful musical parody is set to classic tunes such as "Puff, My God I'm Draggin'" and Stayin' Awake, Stayin' Awake" will have you cheering and dancing in the aisles.

The group backs a wide variety of artists from David Bazan, Suzanne Vega, Kris Orlowski, Shenandoah Davis, and many more.
