Dianne Reeves, Ed Asner, Larry Miller Set for Edmonds Center for the Arts
The sixth season features a variety of entertainment.
The kicks off its sixth performance season Oct. 5 with four-time Grammy Award-winning singer Dianne Reeves.
The season continues through May 2013.
Individual tickets and season subscriptions are available by calling the ECA box office at (425) 275-9595. Ticket prices vary by show, and are posted at the Edmonds Center for the Arts Web site.
“We are providing a unique experience for our region by bringing artists to our stage in an accessible and intimate environment,” said executive director Joe McIalwain.

Oct. 5: Dianne Reeves—Jazz and R&B artist. $35-$45

Oct. 13: John McCutcheon—The folk singer and multitalented instrumentalist plays hammered dulcimer, guitar, banjo, autoharp and fiddle. $20-$30
Oct. 19: Natalie MacMaster—Nova Scotia fiddler and stepdancer. $30-$40
Oct. 27: The Del McCoury Band—Legendary bluegrass musician and master of guitar and banjo. $30-$40
Nov. 14: Seattle International Comedy Competition—A regional touring comedy festival featuring nationally recognized comedians. $20-$30
Nov. 24 at noon: Sing-A-Long “Sound of Music”—An interactive movie event featuring the classic film “The Sound of Music”; the showing is in advance of the annual downtown Edmonds tree-lighting ceremony. $20
Nov. 29: The Irish Rovers—The Canadian Irish folk group celebrates the holidays with traditional holiday and Irish folk music. $25-$35
Dec. 19: Moscow Boys Choir—"Christmas Around the World" celebration, featuring holiday favorites. $25-$35
Jan. 17: Cirque Ziva—Fast-paced new show from the producers of Golden Dragon Acrobats, with all the traditional athletic feats of acrobatics. $30-$40
Jan. 26: Portland Cello Project with Zoe Keating—Classical/contemporary cello performers. $25-$35
Feb. 6: International Guitar Night—Musical event featuring four acoustic guitarists and their special musical styles. $25-$35
Feb. 9: Ed Asner as FDR—powerful one-man play starring actor Ed Asner as President Franklin Delano Roosevelt. $35-$45
Feb. 16: Pilobolus—Innovative and imaginative contemporary dance company. $40-$50
Feb. 22: Michael Kaeshammer—The Canadian vocalist/composer/arranger/pianist specializes in boogie-woogie, blues, jazz and pop. $25-$35
March 9: Blind Boys of Alabama—The legendary gospel vocal group. $40-$50
March 13: Ladysmith Black Mambazo—South African male vocal group blends intricate native rhythms with traditional American gospel music. $35-$45
March 23: Cocktails with Larry Miller—The character actor and comedian is recognizable from more 100 films and television shows including Pretty Woman and Seinfeld. $35-$45
April 5, 2013: Nanci Griffith—Award-winning “folkabilly” singer and songwriter. $30-$40
April 11: StepCrew—Celtic inspired celebration featuring six charismatic dancers and a five-piece Celtic band; all performers from groups like the Chieftains and Cherish the Ladies. $30-$40
April 19: OnEnsemble—The ancient art of Japanese Taiko combined with elements of hip- hop, rock and electronic. $20-$30
May 4: Nathan Aweau and Amy Hanaiali’I—Hawaiian performers combining Aweau’s bass guitar stylings with Hanaiali’I’s classical music training and traditional Hawaiian music. $30-$40
May 17: Ann Hampton Callaway presents the Streisand Songbook—the Broadway star and musical composer celebrates classics from Barbra Streisand’s five decades of music. $30-$40
