The creators of the international Cirque du Soleil entertainment conglomerate will bring a new production called Amaluna to Redmond's this winter.
The show tells the story of a fictional island run by goddesses and the coming-of-age struggles of the queen's daughter.
Amaluna is directed by Diane Paulus, whose Broadway works include The Gershwins’ Porgy and Bess and a Tony Award-winning revival of HAIR.
Amaluna is set to debut Jan. 31, 2013, at Marymoor. Tickets are currently on sale to Cirque Club members and will be available to the general public starting Sept. 28, according to Seattle Times theater critic Misha Berson.
