Edmonds Arts Festival to Reserve Stage for 1 Day for School, Youth, Family

One of the city's biggest events taking artist submissions through March 15.

is now accepting applications from musical or dance groups to perform on the main stage amphitheater on June 17 during the 55th version of the event this year.

In a new twist, the festival wants to provide this venue for community youth to shine. So, on honor of Father’s Day June 17, the festival will showcase only school, youth, and family performers throughout the day.

Interested groups must apply through the same process as other performers, but will be judged separately from the other entertainers.

If you, or someone you know, would like to perform, download an application form from the Edmonds Arts Festival Web site. A demo CD must be included with the submittal, or other arrangements need to be made in advance with a festival co-director of performing arts.

Groups will need to provide their own instruments, music stands and special dance floors. The festival will provide the sound system and amplifiers (through Morgan Sound) and can provide chairs for seating if it knows a month in advance.
