Edmonds Art Studio Tour's Sue Robertson Featured in Kirkland's Tour

The Eastside event this weekend will spotlight 46 artists and 22 studios.

Edmonds artist Sue Robertson will be part of the lineup for this year's Kirkland Artist Studio Tour, which is Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. in Kirkland.

Kirkland's artist studio tour is one of the largest in Western Washington. Now in its ninth year, it has 46 artists at 22 studios and galleries. The artists represent a variety of media, including ceramics, jewelry, sculpture, textiles, photography, glass, printmaking and paintings.

It's best to pick up free maps at the Kirkland Arts Center before starting the self-guided tour. Many of the studios are grouped within walking distance of each other, and artists will be working in most of them, offering visitors a chance to see how art is created.

Robertson's painting is called "The Red Mountains." It's acrylic and measures 12 x 12.
