Downtown Edmonds will see its first self serve frozen yogurt shop open for business tomorrow.
Revelations Yogurt owners Debbie and Rob Duvall plan to open the store on Thursday at 11 a.m. The shop is at 527 Main Street and features 10 rotating flavors of self serve frozen yogurt and over 30 toppings.
The Duvalls trained employees yesterday and invited the staff's family members in during the evening for a tasting. So far, some of the staff's favorite creations include angel food cake frozen yogurt with raspberry pomegrante sorbet, angel food cake frozen yogurt with red velvet cake frozen yogurt, and luscious lemon frozen yogurt with vanilla yogurt and brownie bites.
The Duvalls decided to open Revelations Yogurt earlier this year. The idea came about when Debbie Duvall was visiting her daughter Reilly in California, and the two decided to grab a snack at the local frozen yogurt shop. While eating their yogurt, Debbie Duvall mentioned that the building their family owns on Main Street had recently lost a tenant. Reilly then suggested that the Duvalls open their own frozen yogurt shop.
The Duvall’s other daughter, Devin, will manage the shop. Revelations Yogurt has wi-fi and a seating area, allow locals to gather and hang out. The Duvalls plan to hold a grand opening party at a date still to be determined.
