Please Welcome Liv Finne, Our Newest Blogger

Do you have an opinion, experience, or passion you'd like to share? We welcome you to blog about it on Patch through our Local Voices section.

This week Edmonds Patch welcomed Liv Finne, Director for Education Reform at Washington Policy Center, as its newest blogger.

The center supports "reforms to give parents more choices, to give school principals more autonomy and reponsibility, to give teachers more freedom to teach, and to improve schools for children," she wrote.

In her first post, Washington Charter School Commission holds its first meeting, Finne wrote about the first gathering of the new nine-member state Charter School Commission, and noted that the deadline for school districts to file applications to become charter school authorizers is rapidly approaching.
