Patch Picks: Irish Inspiration

St. Patrick's Day around Edmonds.

It doesn’t take a lot of luck to ensure a great St. Patrick’s Day—you just have to know where to go!

Edmonds is full of things to do tonight, including the . If you’re looking for beer, corned beef or some lively music, look no further. The spirit of the Irish has arrived in Edmonds. Don’t forget to wear your green!

1. The name says it all: celebrates all things Irish, and they consider St. Patrick’s Day “the greatest holiday of all.” The pub even has a year-round electronic countdown to March 17 on their website. Join other partygoers in downing green beverages and snacking on corned beef and cabbage. Enjoy live music from local Celtic rock band Nae Regrets. 2. Nothing says St. Patrick’s Day like green beer. Head on down to for some tasty holiday libations, including colored brew and  Oatmeal Stout on a nitro tap. Catch some March Madness, go head-to-head with other patrons in trivia, and nosh on snacks as you drink. 180 West Dayton St. Warehouse 102; 425-774-1717.

3. is joining in on the holiday fun with live music, deals on food and specialty drinks. Irish Car Bombs are only $5, and all Jameson drinks are $1 off. 525 Main St.; 425-640-5000.

4. Yesterday kicked off a 3-day food extravaganza. Continuing today and tomorrow, enjoy traditional Irish fare such as a corned beef platter, cream of reuban soup, soda bread and cabbage. Favorite drinks include Bushmills, Red Breast, Jameson and Guinness. Get in the spirit and do a little jig with the bagpipers tonight at both 6:00 and 8:00 p.m. 105 Main St.; 425-778-3433.

5. Join members (and non-members too!) as they transform the center into a St. Patrick’s Day pub complete with karaoke and dancing. Share an Irish dinner of stew and apple pie and kick off the evening with Gaelic songs from the 1930’s to the present day.
