Moving for Better Balance: Edmonds Park and Rec Class

Improve balance and increase self-confidence in performing daily activities in this research-based fall prevention program that uses the principles and movements of Tai Chi.  Involves weight-bearing and non-weight bearing stances, postural alignment, coordinated movements and synchronized breathing. 

This exercise program has been recommended by the Center For Disease Control and Prevention as an effective intervention to prevent falls for older adults.  Most effective for participants to take full 12 week program.  Meets Tuesdays and Thursdays from 10:30-11:30am, Sept 3-Oct 17 and then Oct 22-Dec 5.  6 week session cost $82 R, $94 NR.  Class held at the Frances Anderson Center 700 Main Street Edmonds.  Register at Edmonds Parks and Rec 425-771-0230 or www.reczone.org.
