Immersion Spanish Class for Preschoolers Coming to Edmonds

Lango expands Edmonds offerings.

The Spanish-language school Lango will be introducing a class in Edmonds for preschoolers.

The class begins with a session on Jan. 26 from 10:10 to 10:55 a.m. at the Frances Anderson Center. The session will last 11 weeks, including a free demonstration week.

The session is themed "An Adventure in the Mountain," and will have the students "visiting" their friend in the mountains and learning Spanish during their adventure. The teacher, Esperanza Arevalo, is from Columbia and has a degree in Education Sciences.

Lango Seattle director Katie Auker said she is excited to offer this class in Edmonds and encouraged parents to check it out. To schedule a free demo, or to sign up for the session, please go to the Lango Seattle web site. The class is offered directly by Lango, and is not a parks and recreation program.

Lango in Edmonds has been providing Spanish language classes at Sherwood Elementary, and have a new session starting there on Jan. 26.

The Sherwood class is offered from 8:30 to 9:15 a.m. for early elementary, and 3:55 to 4:40 p.m. for upper elementary students. The class is open to those outside of Sherwood Elementary.
