Here's Why the Next Triple-Number Date Will Actually Arrive in 3001
Or is it Jan. 1, 2101? Dec. 21 may make it all not matter much.
Today is Dec. 12, 2012. 12-12-12.
So when is the next time the dates are lined up like this?
Depends on how you look at it. We posed the question on Edmonds Patch, and readers agreed it would be Jan. 1, 2101. 1-1-01.

But some say that's not right. It's actually Jan. 1, 3101. That's 1-1-01, as well. What's the difference?
Well, Jan. 1, 2101, can be read as 1-1-101. And Jan. 1, 3001, can be read as 1-1-001. It's kinda like the whole was 2001 the first year of the new century or was it 2000. (2001, I guess, but 2000 just seemed right.)
