Heavy Snow Expected in Mountain Passes

Portions of the Cascade foothills could also get a dusting of snow on Wednesday night.

The Cascade foothills will likely get a dusting of snow on Wednesday night, as snow levels drop around the Puget Sound region.

Meanwhile, the mountain passes will see heavy snowfall into the middle of the week. Snoqualmie Pass is forecast to get 5-9 inches Tuesday and another 2-4 inches on Wednesday; Stevens Pass could see accumulations above 15 inches by Thursday.

In Edmonds, rain is likely through mid-week. The forecast also calls for winds of 15-20 mph on Tuesday, increasing to around 24 mph on Tuesday night.

High temperatures will be in the mid- to upper-40s through Wednesday, with a high of 50 degrees expected for Monday.
